Benincasa Ministries is sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, Illinois. Through a variety of programs, a ministry of hospitality, and an extensive expanse of Illinois grassland, we strive to provide a place where individuals and groups can nurture their spiritual growth. Special emphasis in programming is an integrated focus on wholistic spirituality. Our programs are offered at several sites, including Jubilee Farm. We also offer to bring our programs to you.
| Jubilee Farm is
an 111-acre center for ecology and spirituality. Programs and
experiences are designed to help people understand our interdependent
relationship to the whole of creation and learn how to live more
sustainably with Earth. An organic vegetable garden and orchard provide
healthy, chemical free food, as well as opportunities for teaching
wholistic and sustainable ways of eating. Our Children’s Garden and animals provide hands-on experiences for people of all ages. Come walk the land or spend some time in quiet retreat. Our walking trails, outdoor labyrinth, creek and ponds offer tranquil settings for reflection. | |
Several Dominican Sisters live and minister at Jubilee Farm. We offer tours and programs for children and adults, and handmade items for sale in our pottery studio. We also offer spiritual direction and private or directed retreats at LaCasa, which is located close to the gardens. LaCasa houses a gathering space for small groups and a resource center, with a lending library of books, videos, and children’s curriculums.
We welcome visitors, friends, and volunteers!
