Girls Night In
Eleven lively high school girls enjoyed getting to know each other and our sisters at our second annual “Girls Night In,” October 18-19. There were many activities, including a Scavenger Hunt around the convent. There was also time to learn about themselves and others as well as time for journaling, swimming, enjoying pizza, and watching a movie.
Before they left on Sunday the girls attended Morning Prayer and mass with our sisters. One of the girls noted, “I liked being at your mass.” When asked why, she responded, “Because I was with people who wanted to be there.”
The sisters enjoyed the girls as much as they enjoyed the sisters. After brunch the girls returned to Troy, Aurora, and Freeport promising to stay in touch with one another. |
